Earlier this year Siemens Power Transmission & Distribution, Inc., through Siemens PTI, announced new capabilities and organization across its entire Distribution and Industrial ("D&I") portfolio.

We have developed a comprehensive solution portfolio for the distribution and industrial marketplace by enhancing our software products, our educational services, and our consulting support," said Michael Edmonds, Siemens PTI Vice President and General Manager.

In addition to our recent release of PSS^®SINCAL, our distribution and industrial planning and analysis software, Siemens PTI's network consulting practice has expanded our distribution planning and industrial systems analysis capabilities in the United States. Siemens PTI's technical skills, extensive real-world experience and electrical system knowledge in distribution and industrial systems have now been formalized and are available to the distribution and industrial sectors. This new practice will be headed by Carlos Dortolina, Consulting Manager, from our Houston, Texas, USA office.

Currently we are actively servicing a number of opportunities within the US market, working closely with Siemens Energy & Automation account managers and their key clients. The D&I Practice shall partner - as has been the case with the rest of Siemens PTI in the US - with a number of other groups within Siemens, mainly Siemens PTI in Germany and the UK, all Siemens PTI CoC's, Siemens Power Generation, and Siemens Energy & Automation focusing on their industrial units. Leveraging business knowledge and experience within all these groups will result in a world-class solution for our customers.
