F. Paul de Mello, Siemens PTI founder, engineer, and instructor, was honored with a classroom dedication ceremony on October 9, 2008. The event was held in conjunction with the "Power System Dynamics" course that Paul was teaching during the week. Paul was surprised by his students and Siemens PTI employees with a celebration after class. Jim Feltes, Senior Manager of Consulting and former student of Paul's, commented that Paul has taught the "Power System Dynamics" course for over 40 years. Over those years, F. Paul de Mello has shared his knowledge of power system dynamics with an estimated 2000 students worldwide! As Jim noted, "No one better exemplifies the ideals of Siemens PTI and Siemens PTI's goal to train engineers in power system analysis." We are extremely grateful to Paul for his contributions throughout Siemens PTI's history. Thank you Paul!
